Targeted Search for Ideas
The WOM InnoHub is a format that has been developed by our innovation management team. It provides the necessary techniques to search pioneering solutions along the entire process chain, from idea and development, to production and after-sales, and to incorporate these into a gate process.
Work in the WOM InnoHub utilizes an online trend and idea platform for the internal exchange of ideas and experiences. Also included are workshops such as Design Thinking, which we regularly organize with our partners. It is especially important that our employees can continuously contribute with good ideas.
In the WOM InnoHub, competence is bundled and implemented in the fastest way possible. As an interface to the future, it establishes connections, focuses on initiating product and process ideas, and promotes their implementation.
Open Innovation Culture with added Value
This results in an innovative production chain for our customers or OEM partners, with a direct interface to the users. The doctors as users can be assured that suggestions and feedback are considered and that our technology meets their practical requirements fully. Newly developed products such as the AirSeal® technology could not have become reality without this process.
The InnoHub provides our employees with the opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange and personal development. At the same time, it also promotes personal responsibility and increases motivation through creative possibilities.
Valuable Partner in the Start-up Scene
As an innovation leader for Insufflator and Pump technologies in Minimally Invasive Surgery, we are always looking for the ideas of tomorrow – and to promote these ideas, we are in regular contact with promising start-ups within the industry.
WOM provides them with access to customers, hospitals, and other partners, and can assist them in the development of ideas with its InnoHub.
Excellent Innovation Management
WOM 2017 has already been awarded the TOP100 seal of the most innovative companies among German SMEs for the third time. Scientifically, Prof. Nikolaus Franke of the Vienna University of Economics and Business, has ascertained that we were able to convince the TOP100 jury with well-structured innovation processes and an inspiring innovation climate.
The Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft also honored our research activities with the "Innovative through Research" seal of approval.
